# Overview

Luasec protects and licenses luau scripts. This page is a map of what the platform does. The rest of the docs go deep on each piece.

## What you get

| Area                   | What it does                                                                                            | Docs                                                                |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Runtime variables** | Per-user data (`SEC_DiscordID`, `SEC_ExpiresIn`, and more) injected as globals for your script to read. | [Runtime variables](/protecting-your-script/runtime-variables.md) |
| **Webhook protection** | `SEC_SENDWEBHOOK(...)` hides your Discord webhook and fills IP/country/key server-side.                 | [Webhook protection](/protecting-your-script/webhook-protection.md) |
| **Keys** | HWID-locked license keys with expiry, pause, ban, and leak watermarking. | [Keys](/licensing/keys.md) |
| **Ad rewards** | End users earn a temporary key by passing ad checkpoints. | [Ad rewards](/licensing/ad-rewards.md) |
| **Discord bot** | Whitelist buyers, reset HWIDs, deliver scripts, from your own server. | [Discord bot](/discord-bot/setup.md) |
| **Analytics** | Executions over time, key health, and a country map. | [Analytics](/account/analytics.md) |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.luasec.org/getting-started/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
